Needed: Community Coaches for Boys Slo-Pitch Teams

Cross Country Practice 8:15 am Sept. 21

Do you like to run?  Would you like to be a part of our cross country team this year?

If you are in grades 1 to 8, you are invited to join our cross country team.  We will be training EVERY Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. on the Humber Valley field. We will begin training on Monday, September 21, 2015. 

The distances you will be required to run are:

Grade 1-2:  1000 Metres

Grade 3: 1500 Metres

Grade 4-6: 2000 Metres

Grade 7-8: 3000 Metres

Course maps will be provided prior to our first meet.

Grade 1-2 runners will only be competing at Centennial Park on Tuesday, October 6, 2015.  Runners in grades 1-2 are not eligible to move on to the conference finals.

Grade 3-8 runners will be competing at Centennial Park on Tuesday, October 6, 2015.  Qualifying runners will be eligible to move on to the conference finals on October 15.

If you are interested in committing to this team, you will need to print the permission form emailed to parents on Sept. 17 and return yourSIGNED copy to the school office before Monday, September 21^st.  You may also bring your signed form to our first practice.You must wear running shoes. If you don’t return a signed permission form, you cannot participate.

We have a great group of parent and student volunteers helping our team this year!  We all look forward to watching you try your best and keeping active.
